ARCADIA One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Cass Township, west of Arcadia, according to the Hancock County Sheriffs Office,
The sheriffs office reported a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Vanessa Garcia, 33, of Fostoria, was southbound on Cass Township 243 at 4:43 p.m. when she drove through a stop sign at Hancock County 216 and struck an eastbound 2011 Cadillac SRX, driven by Jason Jerew, 41, no address available. Following impact, both vehicles traveled off the southeast side of the roadway into a field.
Jerew was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Ambulance, according to the sheriffs office. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
Garcia was cited for failure to stop, the sheriffs office reported.
Assisting at the accident scene were the Washington Township Fire Department, Reinharts Towing and Eds Towing.
