Traffic on Interstate 75 near Ohio 12 will be slowed, and perhaps temporarily stopped, during the early morning hours on Friday, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

ODOT says installation of a fiber optic line over Interstate 75 is the reason for the slowdowns.

Traffic in both directions will be affected between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Friday, with the Ohio State Highway Patrol providing traffic control.

Additionally, traffic will be restricted Thursday to one lane on southbound Interstate 75, north of Ohio 613, and on westbound Hancock County 99 for guard rail repair.
