The City of Findlay presented the 2017 Officer of the Year and Dispatcher of the Year awards to dispatcher Cari Rood and officer Brian White on Friday.
Rood began her career at the Findlay Police Department as a dispatcher in September 2006. She is from Arcadia and has three children.
She has conducted herself in a very professional manner, said Findlay Police Chief John Dunbar, who presented Rood with the award.
Officer Brian White is also the departments crime prevention officer. He began his work at the department in 2004. He graduated from North Baltimore High School and has a degree in criminal justice from Bluffton University. He and his wife, Teresa, enjoy traveling in their time off.
Dunbar called Brian White the face of the Findlay Police Department and praised Whites efforts at developing a strong relationship with the community.
