Ramsey Aljahmi has been named Findlay plant leader for Whirlpool Corp. Aljahmi has been director of operations in Findlay.
Dale Laws, who has been Findlay plant leader, will become the vice president, laundry and dish with overall responsibility for Findlay Operations, Clyde Operations, Marion Operations and Fall River Operations. Laws will report to Byron Green, vice president of North American Region manufacturing. Aljahmi will continue to report to Laws.
Aljahmi became director of Findlay Operations in September 2016. He came to Whirlpool from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles where he was the Powertrain Casting Operations plant manager in Toronto, Canada. Prior to that, he served as the assistant plant manager, business unit manager, and pressroom die shop supervisor, as well as participating in the Chrysler Leadership Development Program. Aljahmi earned a masters degree in business administration from Lawrence Technological University. In 2016 Automotive News, Aljahmi was recognized as a Rising Star Nominee.
Laws has been with Whirlpool since 1993. He has held a variety of manufacturing-leadership roles including plant leader at the companys KitchenAid small-appliance plant in Greenville, operations director at the freestanding range plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and assembly and materials director at the Findlay plant. He was named vice president of Whirlpool Corporation, Findlay Operations in June 2010. In 2016, he assumed added leadership responsibilities for the companys U.S. cooking manufacturing operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Cleveland, Tennessee.
