Two people were injured in a crash on Madison Township 31, west of Madison Township 68, at 5:09 p.m. Sunday, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says that Richard Worstine, 16, of Arlington, was traveling eastbound on Madison Township 31 in a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria when he lost control of his vehicle while avoiding a head-on collision. The Crown Victoria went off the south side of the road, then crossed over Madison Township 31 and went off the north side of the road, coming to a stop after striking several trees.

Worstine was treated for his injuries at the scene and released. A passenger in the vehicle, Justin Sheldon, 19, of Arlington, was taken for treatment of unknown injuries by private vehicle. A second passenger, Deven Deuble, 18, of Forest, was not injured in the crash.

Worstine was cited for operation without reasonable control, the sheriff’s office said.
