BEAVERDAM — A truck driver was injured Thursday when his rig overturned on U.S. 30, west of Interstate 75, the Lima post of the State Highway Patrol reports.

Adam C. Mancuso, 36, of West Olive, Michigan, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital by Beaverdam-Richland Township Fire and EMS, the patrol said.

A tractor-trailer driven by Mancuso was westbound on U.S. 30 about 4:26 p.m. when the rig went off the right side of the road while negotiating a curve, the patrol said. The truck overturned and came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the road.

The trailer was loaded with bricks and took several hours to remove from the ditch, the patrol said.

The right lane of westbound traffic was closed for a short period, the patrol said.

The state patrol “reminds motorists to take into account adverse weather conditions, especially when traveling on overpasses and negotiating curves.”
