A Van Wert woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening on southbound Interstate 75 near Mount Cory that briefly closed the highway, according to the Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol.

According to the patrol, at 8:25 p.m., a 2005 Ford 500, driven by Juli Allenbaugh, 28, of Van Wert, was northbound on I-75 when Allenbaugh lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle then crossed the median, overturned, and entered the southbound lanes.

Allenbaugh’s Ford was then hit by a 2018 International semi-trailer driven by John Martin II, 59, of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Allenbaugh was treated at the scene for minor injuries; Martin was not injured, according to the post. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, the patrol added.

The Findlay Post was assisted at the scene by Hanco EMS, Mount Cory Fire Department, Ed’s Towing, R&A Towing, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol.
