Eric Faulkner has been named president of Citizens National Bank, headquartered in Bluffton.
Former president, Mike Romey, will remain with the bank as chairman of the board and chief executive officer.
Faulkner is only the fifth president of the bank since it opened nearly 100 years ago.
Faulkner began his banking career at Citizens National in 2009 in Columbus, leading the loan participation program. He’s been involved with the Ohio Bankers League (OBL), serving as chairman for the Next Generation Advisory Board. He is currently a member of the Community Bankers Association of Ohio’s Legislative and Regulatory Committee (CBAO).
He has actively represented the bank through participation in the OBL and CBAO lobbying efforts at both the state and national levels.
In August 2018, Faulkner completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having been voted president of his class, and also received a Certificate of Executive Leadership. Faulkner earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and his master’s degree in business administration from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Citizens National Bank has offices in Bluffton, Findlay, Celina, Defiance, Elida, Findlay, Lima, Springfield, Van Wert and Toledo.
