VAN BUREN — One person was injured today in a two-vehicle accident shortly before 12:30 p.m. in Allen Township, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Takoda W. Pahl was driving south on Allen Township 229 in a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and failed to stop at Ohio 613, the sheriff’s office said. The passenger side of Pahl’s vehicle was struck by a 2008 Dodge Avenger driven east on Ohio 613 by Jessika L. Cobb.

The Allen Township Fire Department extricated Pahl from the Sunfire. Pahl was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS, the sheriff’s office said.

Pahl was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign, according to the sheriff’s office.
