Hancock County’s unemployment rate fell to 3.4 percent in February from 4 percent in January.
Unemployment rates declined in all 88 counties in Ohio, the State Job and Family Services Department reported. Hancock County was tied with Union County for fifth lowest rate in the state.
Jobless rates in neighboring counties in February, with January rates in parentheses, were: Allen, 4.4 percent (5.1 percent); Hardin, 4.2 (5.1); Henry, 6.4 (6.9); Putnam, 3.8 (4.4); Seneca, 4.7 (5.5); Wood, 4 (4.7); Wyandot, 3.6 (4.2).
The statewide unemployment rate, which is seasonally adjusted, decreased to 4.6 percent in February from 4.7 percent in January.
