Findlay firefighters were called to a house fire at 831 Putnam St. at 11:28 p.m. Monday, where flames were visible on the second floor.

It took about 15 minutes for firefighters to get it under control, according to the fire department.

Nobody was inside the home when firefighters arrived. A total of 21 firefighters and nine vehicles responded. All left the scene by 2:41 a.m.

Damage was estimated at $20,000, the fire department said. No cause was available as of about 10:30 a.m. today.

The fire department has responded to the address for fires or burning complaints at least seven other times in recent years, according to past reports in The Courier.

The house also caught on fire in February 2018. In August 2017, a fire started in the shed and and spread to siding on the house. There was also a shed fire in January 2015 and some type of “minor fire” in April 2015.

The fire department has responded three times to unauthorized burning complaints since September 2015.
