After a rainy Saturday, Eagle Creek reached minor flood stage Sunday. However, the Blanchard River was not expected to flood.
According to the National Weather Service, Eagle Creek crested at 9.46 feet, which is considered minor flood stage, at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. By 10 p.m., it had receded to 8.77 feet, which is below flood stage. Minor flood stage for the creek starts at 9 feet.
The Blanchard River had reached 8.14 feet, which is well short of the minor flood stage of 11 feet.
Rain remains in the forecast for the next several days.
