McCOMB — Two motorists suffered minor injuries when a car and a truck collided Saturday night on Ohio 186, south of McComb, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Marisella Cortez, 27, of McComb, the driver of the car, and her passenger, Joshua Wright, 33, of Fostoria, were treated at the scene by PMP Emergency Medical Service, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said Ryan Friel, 28, of Carey, was backing a 2016 Chevrolet truck and a trailer into a private drive on Ohio 186, near County Road 97, about 10 p.m. Saturday. Friel got out of the truck in order to load a separate vehicle onto the trailer, leaving the truck partially in the roadway, the sheriff’s office said.

Cortez, who was driving a 2005 Honda south on Ohio 186, hit the driver’s side of the truck.

Friel was cited for parking on a highway, the sheriff’s office said.

Assisting at the accident scene were the McComb Fire Department, BG Towing, and Mac and Bob’s Towing.
