JENERA — A house’s kitchen, living room and an exterior second-floor wall were damaged in a fire early today at 19178 Township Road 65, southeast of Jenera.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 9 a.m., about six and half hours after responding to a call by Jenna Wilson, said Corey Miracle, fire chief for the Southwestern Hancock County Joint Fire District.

No one was hurt at the property, owned by Gary and Mary Wilson. No property damage estimate was available today.

Investigators are still trying to determine the fire’s cause.

A total of 32 firefighters responded from the Southwestern Hancock County Joint Fire District, Arlington, Delaware Township and Allen Township.
