KALIDA — A water boil advisory has been issued by the Village of Kalida effective immediately for residences on Walnut Street and all residences north of Walnut Street on Silver Pines Drive, Stillwater Street, Oak Parkway, Acorn Street, Maple Leaf Drive, Brookhaven Subdivision, Road M and Bacon Street. The advisory will continue until further notice.
A waterline reconstruction on Walnut Street is the reason for the boil advisory, according to a news release from the village.
Water used for drinking and cooking must be boiled for at least 10 minutes prior to consumption. An alternative is to use bottled water. Water used for bathing and washing clothes is not affected by the boil advisory.
Residents in the affected area will notice a water pressure reduction during daylight hours.
