Two Dunkirk residents were injured in a three-vehicle accident on the outskirts of Findlay Wednesday afternoon, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reported that Justyn Scott, 18, of Wharton, was driving north on Hancock County 180 at 4:19 p.m. when Scott failed to stop for traffic stopped for the traffic light at the Ohio 568 intersection.
Scott’s struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Tony Crowe, 57, of Dunkirk, the sheriff’s office said. Following the initial impact, the Crowe vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle driven by Brittany Popenberg, 29, of Alvada.
Crowe and a passenger in his vehicle, Trina Crowe, 39, of Dunkirk, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Scott was cited for failure to stop in the assured clear distance ahead.
Assisting at the scene were Findlay Police Department, Findlay Fire Department, Hanco EMS and R&A Towing.
