Findlay school board has announced the names of five candidates who will be interviewed for the district’s superintendent position.

The candidates include: George Fisk, superintendent of the Norwalk City School District, Norwalk, since 2015; David Harmon, superintendent of Benjamin Logan Local Schools, Bellefontaine, since 2015; David Lewis, superintendent of Miami Trace Local School District, Washington Court House, since 2013; Troy Roth, assistant superintendent of Findlay City Schools since 2015; and Isaac Seevers, superintendent of the Greeneview Local School District, Jamestown, since 2013.

Interviews are set to begin Thursday. Two or three candidates are then expected to move on to a second interview on Feb. 20.

Superintendent Ed Kurt announced in December that he had accepted a position as superintendent of Margaretta Local Schools, and would resign his Findlay post effective July 31. Kurt served as superintendent of Margaretta schools for 12 years, prior to succeeding Dean Wittwer as Findlay superintendent in August 2014.

The new superintendent is expected to take the reins July 1.
