FOSTORIA — A Fostoria man was arrested early Thursday morning following a chase on foot and in a vehicle, Fostoria police reported.
Police responded at 2:13 a.m. to a report of noises in the downstairs area of a residence at 213 W. Center St. Upon arrival, officers observed a lock box with heavy damage. According to police, suspect ran out of the house and into a vehicle with police in pursuit.
The suspect eventually bailed out of the car, police reported, and continued to flee from police on foot until he was apprehended in the area of Sandusky Street near Fremont Street.
The suspect, identified as Joshua V. Garner, 36, of Fostoria, has been charged with breaking and entering and was being held in the Seneca County Jail Thursday.
