A Findlay woman was injured Thursday afternoon when she was struck by a car while walking in the Walmart parking lot on Trenton Avenue, Findlay police reported.
According to police, Dorthy Phoenix, 63, of Findlay, was backing out of a parking space at Walmart at 4:05 p.m. in her 2002 Chrysler Town and Country when she struck Barbra Hohl, 78, who was walking along a row of parking spaces.
Hohl, who was knocked to the ground, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment of head and back injuries, police reported.
No citations were issued because the accident occurred on private property, according to police.
Hanco EMS and the Findlay Fire Department assisted at the scene.
