Police Department

The following incidents were reported Saturday:

A fight was reported at 825 Howard St. about 12:42 a.m. Saturday.

Three intoxicated individuals were being loud and causing a domestic dispute at a residence in the 700 block of North Main Street.

A person was taken into custody at 752 Longmeadow Lane about 4:44 a.m. after making threats.

A domestic dispute was reported in the 200 block of North Blanchard St. about 1:42 p.m.

Someone attempted to return a fake product to a business at 1800 Tiffin Ave. about 1:44 p.m.

A male was requested to be removed from an upstairs apartment at 708 N. Main St.

A vehicle was reported stolen from 600 Fox Run Road, but may have been taken by a relative.

A burglary was reported at 617 Center St., and later a trespassing complaint was filed at the same location, but a police check found the doors locked and no one in the residence.

A fight was reported at 221 Crystal Ave.

A burglary was reported about 218 S. Main St. about 9:02 p.m.

An officer was requested at 425 Monroe Ave. about money owed someone.

A car was blocking a driveway at 119 Shinkle St.

Sheriff’s Office

The following incidents were reported Friday:

A Benton Ridge resident sold an item to an out-of-town person “a few weeks ago” and the buyer has been calling the seller and threatening him because the item malfunctioned. The caller has said “he will come to (the) house and break his legs.”

A civil dispute was reported in an apartment at 2800 S. Main St.

A tire came loose from a vehicle and hit another vehicle near Hancock County 99 and Hancock County 212. Debris was scattered over two lanes of the road.

A truck hit another vehicle about 9:22 p.m. in the 9100 block of Hancock County 9. The driver whose vehicle was hit got out of his vehicle and assaulted the driver of the truck and then left the area.

The following incidents were reported Saturday:

A civil protection order was violated by a male when he contacted a female to come get their child because the male’s father was intoxicated and mad.

A truck ran over a tree on Cass Township 229 about 7:20 a.m. Saturday. The truck was not damaged, but one lane was blocked. A chain saw was brought to the area and the road was opened about 45 minutes later.

A person driving a Chevrolet pickup truck recklessly on U.S. 224 from Putnam County into Hancock County finally pulled over near Hancock County 139. He said he was fine, but the high wind was making it difficult to handle his vehicle.

A teenage boy dropped a green and silver bicycle in a driveway at 4810 Ohio 186 about 12:52 p.m. and left the area walking east on Portage Township 97.

A fraud complaint was filed by an Amanda Township 173 resident after a family member gave a credit card number to a caller claiming to be a Microsoft representative. As a result, the caller gained access to the family’s computer.

A copper-colored car was being driven recklessly west on U.S. 224 from Seneca County into Hancock County, swerving into the other lane and forcing vehicles off the road, about 5:40 p.m. Saturday. State Highway Patrol and Findlay Police Department were notified of the situation.

An unwanted, intoxicated person was reported in the 22000 block of Van Buren Township 61, Forest. The man dropped a lit cigarette on the porch and was kicking a vehicle door.
