Bridge Bereavement Services is offering a “Sew Many Memories” grief support program from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Birchaven Village, 15100 Birchaven Lane.
This program will offer participants the opportunity to turn their loved one’s clothing into a keepsake. The Sept. 27 session will be for planning purposes and the Oct. 6 session will be used for sewing.
“Parting with clothing that belonged to a deceased loved one can often be an emotional decision to make,” said Niki Sidle, Bridge bereavement coordinator. “This program will allow those who recently lost someone close to them to turn that clothing into a heartfelt keepsake.”
The program is open to any adult, child or family who has recently experienced the death of a loved one. No sewing experience is necessary, and volunteers will be available to assist. Participants must attend both sessions.
Registration is required by Sept. 24. RSVP at 419-423-5351 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
