VETERANS OFFICE IS HELPING MANY

In this season of giving and receiving, my family would like to express our gratitude to the director, staff, and board members of Hancock Veterans Services Office for their combined efforts to assist us and other area veterans in these hard and trying times.
Economically, we are all struggling to survive the many changes that have affected our lives and causing us to re-evaluate our future security.
Veteran services plays a very important role in our community in providing a multitude of different assistance to our area veterans.
Their staff is constantly striving to look at all possible ways to assist the veteran in need.
With the future uncertain, hard changes to our lives are most certainly forthcoming.
The office has our gratitude for continuing to help as many veterans in our area as it can.

BUSH’S LIE LED TO MANY LOSSES
In regards to lies tied to President Obama, I ask how many people have died or been maimed for life from his lies?
Let’s take a look at lies from former President Bush. Remember the weapons of mass destruction? We lost 4,000 servicemen and many thousands more were maimed for life, not to mention the billions of dollars of tax money spent on the war.
I don’t recall anyone sending letters to the editor condoning the deaths, injuries or money due to President Bush’s lie.
I don’t favor lies from anyone, however, lies should not cause death or injuries. Nothing is more precious than a human life.

DEMOLISH OLD CITY SCHOOL
It seems like Findlay is always coming up with unexpected money from one source or another.
It seems like if the city is coming up with some extra profits, then it should be able to afford to tear down the old school on Blanchard Avenue.
Or maybe the city is saving up the money to pay for the lawsuit if someone gets hurt, or heaven forbid, gets killed.
I’m sure if the school was up on Main Street, we would find the money and a way to tear it down.
