BLUFFTON — The Bluffton Senior Center has several trips scheduled including visits to Pennsylvania and Alaska and the Yukon.
An overnight trip to visit Roscoe Village in Coshocton will be held June 8-9. The trip will include a canal boat ride as well as overnight accommodations.
Amishlands and the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania will be the destination of a trip July 10-15. Participants will see “Samson” at the Millennium Theatre and take a guided tour of the Amish countryside. The trip also includes a cruise on the Susquehanna River and stops at Hershey’s Chocolate World.
A trip to Alaska and the Yukon is planned Aug. 2-15. The tour will climb the White Pass Trail on an old-fashioned train and continue on into Canada visiting Whitehorse and Dawson City. Back in Fairbanks, participants will cruise the Chena River and visit the Museum of the North and the Alaska pipeline. There will also be a visit to Denali National Park and a cruise of Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Fjords National Park. A passport is needed for this trip.
Several one-day trips are also planned, including the LaComedia Dinner Theater to see “Fiddler on the Roof” on Thursday; “Grease” on May 12 and “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 16. Trips are planned to Der Dutchman in Plain City April 26, July 7 and Dec. 1. A trip to Villa Milano in Columbus to see the Lennon Sisters is scheduled June 13.
