ARLINGTON — Volunteers will be making homemade noodles for the Arlington Festival in June.

The festival will take place Aug. 12 and 13.

Groups will be making noodles from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 11 and June 18 at the Arlington School cafeteria kitchen. Participants should bring bed sheets to put on tables, fans, noodle machines if you have one, and laundry drying racks to hang the noodles on.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Anyone with questions can call Junior Weihrauch, food chairman, at 419-365-5304.

Weihrauch is also the contact for anyone wanting to donate two pies or one cake for the festival. Pies and cakes should be at the shelter house between noon and 3 p.m. so they can be cut and ready to serve by 4 p.m. The festival committee is also looking for volunteers to work a two-hour shift at the shelter house between 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday or Saturday of the festival.

Honorary grand marshals for the festival parade at 6 p.m. Aug. 12 will be veterans in the Arlington and Findlay area. The veterans will ride on a large semi-flat bed and will lead the parade. Veterans may be dropped off at the Arlington School front yard by 5:15 p.m. and brought back to the high school for pickup after the parade. Anyone wanting to ride should contact Weihrauch by July 20.

Registration for the parade and information for crafters and vendors can also be found by contacting Weihrauch.
