James Lutz channels his inner romantic comedy star (and John Cusack) while hoisting a boombox over his head to recreate the iconic Say Anything scene in asking his girlfriend, Kim Strange, to marry him on Valentines Day. Lutz says he and Strange met back in 1982 when they were both attending Lima West Junior High and she was the cutest girl in school. Strange moved away after their seventh-grade year and the two lost touch until about 2011, when they reconnected through social media. One day in 2014 she asked him out, and we pretty much fell in love that night and have been together ever since, Lutz says. Both are children of the 80s and enjoy watching classic movies together. He says Say Anything is his fiancees favorite movie, and the boombox serenade is her favorite scene. Both live in Findlay, where Strange is a project manager in the IT department at Marathon Petroleum Corp. and Lutz owns Good Guys Painting & Home Services. (Photo by Kevin Bean)
