A blood drive in memory of Tyler Van Atta will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Riverside Suites, 1100 E. Main Cross St. (entrance and parking in the rear).

Van Atta was Findlay High School graduate and an accomplished carpenter. He battled Crohn’s disease throughout his life and became extremely ill after his 31st birthday, receiving over 30 pints of blood and plasma. His family is asking the community to give blood in his memory to help ensure all patients have access to an adequate supply.
