The Findlay Light Opera, in partnership with the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, has scheduled auditions for the second of its four cabarets, “A Hometown Holiday.”

“A Hometown Holiday: Journey with One Family as They Discover What it Means to be Home for the Holidays,” will celebrate the season through a variety of traditional, popular and heartwarming holiday musical selections. It will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

Cast members include one male and one female, age 30-50; one female and one male youth, age 8-12; one female and one male adult, age 50 and older; one adult male or female, age 20-30; and a soprano-alto-tenor-bass quartet, any genders, 18 and older.

Those auditioning should prepare a vocal solo up to two minutes, with holiday selections permitted but not required. All those auditioning will also be asked to participate in small ensemble singing. An accompanist will be present.

Youth auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 22, followed by adult auditions at 7. Auditions will take place in the University of Findlay choir room (Egner Room 209).
