The annual Veterans Resource Fair for area military veterans to learn about their benefits will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Elks Lodge, 900 W. Melrose Ave.

The resource fair is being co-sponsored by the Hancock County Veterans Service Office and Elks Lodge BPOE 75.

Information on benefits earned during military service and what is available in the community will be available.

“This is a great way for us to provide an event where veterans can get questions answered and make it easier for them to take advantage of the many local, state and federal benefits they may be missing out on,” said Nichole Coleman, executive director of the Hancock County Veterans Service Office. “Many of the vendors who will be there this year are different than the past two years. We are hoping this will bring back the veterans who have attended previously and that new veterans will come as well.”

Exhibitors will be on hand to talk with veterans about health care, education and other benefits available from the federal government and the state.

Some of the vendors include: Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, the Toledo Vet Center, the University of Findlay, 50 North, Honor Flight, and Operation Legal Help Ohio.

The Elks will provide a veterans appreciation dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Call the county veterans service office to make reservations at 419-424-7036. For more information, go to Facebook/Hancock County Veterans Service Office; call the office; or go online at
