Get The Led Out will play some rock ‘n’ roll at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Marathon Center’s box office, at www.marathoncenterarts.org, or by calling 419-423-2787. Box office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to the performance.
The band known as the American Led Zeppelin comprises professional musicians who have made it their mission to capture the studio recordings of the iconic British band on the concert stage.
The group’s website says Led Zeppelin layered many guitars, vocals, keyboards, and various other instruments in the studio. It’s physically impossible for four people to recreate the recordings live, so Zeppelin themselves never attempted replicating their recorded work in concert, in contrast to Get The Led Out’s approach.
The group features Paul Sinclair on lead vocals/harmonica; Paul Hammond on guitars and mandolin; Jimmy Marchiano on guitars; Phil D’Agostino on bass; Adam Ferraioli on drums; Andrew Lipke on keyboards, guitars and percussion; and Diana DeSantis, who performed as a guest vocalist on “The Battle of Evermore” from Led Zeppelin IV.
