OLD FORT — Michael C. Spragg, president and chief executive officer of The Old Fort Banking Co., will become chairman of Old Fort Banking Co. and Gillmor Financial Services in April.
Spragg will succeed Dianne Gillmor Krumsee, who will retire following the annual meeting of shareholders on April 13.
Spragg joined Old Fort in 2007 as the bank’s president and chief executive officer, and was named president and chief executive officer of Gillmor Financial Services in 2010.
Spragg has over 28 years experience in the banking industry.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Catawba College and a master’s degree in business administration, finance, from the University of Findlay.
Krumsee has been a member of the board of directors of The Old Fort Banking Co. and Gillmor Financial Services since 1991, and has served as chairman since 2007.
Krumsee is the third generation of her family to serve as board chairman, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Howard J. Fry, and her father, Paul M. Gillmor. She followed her brother, Paul E. Gillmor, who also served as board chairman.
Old Fort Banking Co. is an employee-owned independent bank, founded in 1916 in the village of Old Fort.
It has operations in Bettsville, Clyde, Findlay, Fostoria, Fremont, Lima, Old Fort, Sugarcreek, Tiffin, and Xenia.
