The National Weather Service is projecting possible minor flooding along the Blanchard River at Findlay and Ottawa this week, thanks to a weekend of rainstorms.

The Blanchard River at Findlay was at 6.81 feet as of 4 p.m. Sunday, which was latest reading available late Sunday — but is projected to peak at 11.1 feet early. Minor flood stage starts at 11 feet.

At Ottawa, the river was at 16.45 feet at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, which is below action stage. The river is projected to reach 23.2 feet at Ottawa Tuesday afternoon. Minor flood stage starts at 23 feet.

Eagle Creek in Findlay reached minor flood stage Sunday, cresting at 9.66 feet at 7 p.m. Minor flood stage begins at 9 feet. At 11 p.m. Sunday, the creek had dropped to 7.81 feet.

According to the National Weather Service, 2.25 inches of rain fell in Findlay over the weekend. More rain is in the forecast for today and Tuesday.
