An open house for the newly-built $1.4 million Old Mill Stream Centre at the Hancock County Fairgrounds will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The 15,000-square-foot building hosted its first event, a wedding reception, on June 9, and has been booked for more events in the coming months, said Dave Thomas, operations and facilities manager for the Hancock County Agricultural Society.

The building, designed for shows and seminars as well as receptions, is located south of the Sandusky Street parking lot, east of the driveway entrance from Sandusky Street.

It has heating, air conditioning and a catering kitchen.

The kitchen has no ovens, only coolers and countertops, he said.
