No injuries were reported after a Tuesday night fire destroyed a duplex on Findlay’s Payne Avenue and burned the siding of a neighboring building.
The Findlay Fire Department said the initial calls about the fire at 1704 and 1706 Payne Ave. came in at 8:19 p.m. from residents in the West Park neighborhood.
Residents of the duplex were home at the time of the fire. Neighbors alerted them to the fire and everyone inside the duplex was able to escape.
The fire was brought until control at 9:01 p.m. Smoke and fire damage to the duplex was extensive in the garage area and spread elsewhere through the building.
No estimate of damages was available Wednesday, according to the fire department.
