KENTON — What started as a high-speed chase in Hardin County ended Thursday night with the suspect taking his own life.
According to WKTN Radio, Hardin County sheriff’s deputies tried to pull over Matthew Wall, who had a warrant for his arrest. The man refused to stop and sped away.
Deputies ended the chase for safety reasons but caught up with him at his home at 13051 Township Road 95, west of Kenton.
After trying to talk Wall out of his garage, deputies forced their way in. Wall fired a gun, taking his own life.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is helping with the investigation.
