McCOMB — McComb Council on Monday set in motion plans to purchase a new police cruiser.
Village Council gave Police Chief Greg Smith the authority to begin the process with money from the 2019 budget.
According to Smith, a new cruiser could cost $30,000 and police equipment attached to the vehicle might cost another $9,000.
The village will attempt to use the current 2005 Dodge Durango police vehicle as part of a trade-in deal.
Separately, patching a section of West South Street has been completed.
Separately, letters will be mailed this week to property owners in violation of junk and weeds regulations.
