FOSTORIA — Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night on East Lytle Street.
According to Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno, a subject broke into 303 E. Lytle St., where a scuffle ensued and a male occupant was shot in the leg. He was transported to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital by Fostoria Fire Division’s EMS squad with non-life-threatening injuries.
A female occupant of the residence was not injured in the encounter, which took place around 10:30 p.m.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Loreno said the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence and officials believe the victims were targeted.
The scene was processed and evidence was collected.
