VAN BUREN — Leaf collection for Van Buren residents will begin Saturday with leaves being picked up three times during November.

The days for pickup will be determined by the amount of leaves that have been raked up to ensure that there are plenty of leaves to pick up.

Leaves must be raked to the front of a home within the boulevard. Residents should not rake leaves into the street and should make sure there are only leaves in the pile. Hidden debris in piles may damage the equipment.

Also, bagged leaves and grass clippings will not be picked up during leaf collection.

If leaves are raked into the street, the resident could be subject to a fine under the Ohio Revised Code. The law will be enforced due to recent plugged storm sewer lines in Van Buren.
