A Findlay woman was injured Thursday evening in a two-vehicle accident on the East Trenton Avenue overpass, Findlay police reported.
According to police, Jennifer Stump, 48, of Findlay, was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty west over the bridge at 5:42 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway. The vehicle slid onto the sidewalk, striking a concrete wall, before sliding across the roadway where it was struck by a 2001 Chrysler Sebring driven by Nina Proehl, 41, of Findlay. Police reported that Proehl was also driving west when she applied the brakes to avoid hitting the Stump vehicle, but slid into the back of the Jeep.
A passenger in the Proehl car, Caley Proehl, 18, of Findlay, was taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Stump was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control, and Proehl was cited for failure to stop in the assured clear distance ahead, according to police.
