Reports of counterfeit money have increased in the past two weeks, the Findlay Police Department said Friday.

Counterfeit $10 and $20 bills are being passed, police said. Most of the bills have been passed at restaurants and convenience stores.

Employees handling cash should scrutinize cash and immediately notify the police department if they believe a counterfeit bill has been passed.

“We ask that descriptions of the suspects and vehicle, to include a license plate number, be obtained,” police said.
