The Mobil gas station at 1303 N. Main St. in Findlay was robbed Tuesday morning, Findlay police reported.

An armed man confronted a clerk and left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. He fled to the north.

Officers were dispatched at 6:18 a.m. and searched the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The Mobil employee was not harmed.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. His face was “partially concealed” and he had a “mustache or possibly a beard,” police said.

He was wearing “a longer black hooded coat, gray sweatpants and tan work boots” and something light green over part of his face.

This is at least the fourth robbery at the gas station in recent years. The location was also robbed in May 2014, November 2015 and January 2016.

The robbery was the second in less than 12 hours in the North Main Street area.

Police reported that two men carrying semi-automatic handguns entered a house at 117½ Howard St., pointed the guns at the residents and took a safe. No arrests have been made in that robbery.
