Responding to an increasing number of people who want to assist law enforcement and build a stronger partnership in the fight against crime, Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman has announced that citizens are being invited to become associate members of the Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association.
Membership appeals are being mailed. Those choosing to join the voluntary program can do so for as little as a $20 contribution.
Funding provides technical resources, training and legislative support on criminal justice issues.
Residents also can contact the Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association at 1103 Schrock Road, Suite 401, Columbus 43229, or call 1-800-589-2772.
Residents can also become a member by contacting the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
