The deadline for voter registration for the May 7 primary is Monday, April 8.
The Hancock County Board of Elections, 201 E. Lincoln St. rear entrance, will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. that day to assist with registration.
Other locations throughout the county where individuals can register to vote include: Findlay-Hancock County Public Library; Findlay and Fostoria license bureaus; treasurer and auditor offices in the Hancock County Courthouse; Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health; McComb and Fostoria libraries; Fostoria auditor’s office; Women Infants & Children Agency; Hancock County Job & Family Services; and Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
To register to vote in Ohio, an individual must be a U.S. citizen; be 18 years old on or before Nov. 5; and be an Ohio resident for at least 30 days immediately before the election.
Individuals can check their voter registration online at www.hancockboardofelections.com. An address change can be done online or in the board office until 9 p.m. April 8.
Early in-person absentee voting for the May primary will begin Tuesday, April 9 in the elections board office.
The office will be open during the following days and hours prior to the election for in-person absentee voting:
• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 9-April 26.
• 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 29-May 3.
• 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4.
• 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5.
• 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 6.
