Findlay police ended a 2.7-mile pursuit after losing the driver in Jackson Township early Sunday morning.

The pursuit began at 2:18 a.m., when an officer tried to make a traffic stop in the 2500 block of South Main Street, police said. The driver fled south and turned east onto Jackson Township 168 and turned off the vehicle’s headlights.

“Officers lost the vehicle and terminated the pursuit,” the police department said.

Police are still investigating.
