McCOMB — McComb is searching for a new village administrator.
Kevin Siferd will step down from that role on April 12, according to a resignation letter submitted to Mayor Chuck Latta.
Latta said that Siferd indicated that “it was time to move on.”
Siferd has been village administrator for more than 13 years, according to the mayor.
McComb Council is expected to discuss the situation during its regular meeting Monday.
“We’re looking for a good, qualified candidate,” Mayor Latta said Thursday.
Siferd was hired by Village Council in December 2005, replacing Robin Rader, who had resigned.
The deadline for a candidate to submit a resume to become McComb’s administrator is April 19.
Candidates can send letters of interest to Mayor Charles Latta, village of McComb, P.O. Box 340, McComb, Ohio 45858.
Also, resumes can be emailed to Bboyer@villageofmccomb.com.
According to a job description on the village’s website, the village administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the village.
The administrator’s duties include overseeing the streets department, parks department, natural gas service and storm water management.
Other duties involve finance, economic development, planning and zoning, and human resources.
A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning or related field is preferred, according to the job description. Equivalent education and relevant work experience will be considered by the village.
