A West Virginia woman will be sentenced in June for her role in a large heroin bust made last August.

Shawntrina Y. Alford, 30, of Huntington, West Virginia, pleaded guilty in Hancock County Common Pleas Court Thursday to possession of heroin, a first-degree felony.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Alford and Terrell E. Walker, 35, also of Huntington, possessed 246 grams of heroin, or a bit more than half a pound, and one gram of marijuana when they were pulled over Aug. 15, 2018, for a lane violation on Interstate 75 in Hancock County. The drugs were worth about $43,788, the patrol said. Walker has not pleaded yet.

Judge Jonathan Starn scheduled Alford’s sentencing for June 3.
