NORTH BALTIMORE — North Baltimore Council on Tuesday approved the replacement of two clarifiers at the water treatment plant.
Council will spend $120,000 to replace the clarifiers after problems occurred with their gears, village officials said.
Separately, council will seek clarification on its responsibility for its share of a public works grant to renovate the 200 block of North Main Street.
The price tag for the village’s share has increased by $30,000 to reach $162,000, and council wanted to know where this amount would come from in its budget.
The Ohio Public Works Commission will provide $175,000 for road and sidewalk replacement there.
In other business, council:
• Hired Chad Smith as a part-time advanced EMT.
• Heard a pitch to have an energy conservation program enacted for municipal buildings.
