ARCADIA — The Arcadia school board on Wednesday purchased new Chromebooks as part of its replacement program.
The board bought 100 Chromebooks and Google licenses for $21,695 for seventh-graders, and 50 Chromebooks, Google licenses and two laptop carts for third-graders for $12,541.
Separately, an array of supplemental contracts was approved by the board.
Those approved include co-athletic directors Tim Saltzman, Dave Golden; assistant athletic director Tayler Barr; head football coach Ethan Percer; head golf coach Ned Sponsler; head volleyball coach Jacquie Ramsey; head boys basketball coach Clay Baker; head girls basketball coach, Randy Baker; head baseball coach Dereck Uitto; and head softball coach David Spridgeon.
Separately, the board spent $13,526.50 for new flooring and equipment for the weight room.
In other business, the school board:
• Will pay $28,191 for building, fleet and liability insurance.
• Studied options for new school parking spaces.
• Thanked voters for supporting an income tax renewal earlier this month.
• Said that 46 seniors are slated to graduate this Sunday.
