Plein Air Painting
Grab your paintbrush and other art supplies and head out to your local parks to create art “en plein air” when the Hancock Park District offers several free sessions for area artists. The Hancock Park District invites adults of all skill levels to paint or draw “en plein air” in Hancock County parks from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 30.

There is no fee or registration required to attend, but participants need to bring their own supplies and come dressed for ground and weather conditions. Sessions will be canceled in the event of rain, and participants are not required to attend all of the dates.

All artists who use any medium conducive to working outdoors are welcome to attend the sessions. The park district recommends the activity as an opportunity to meet and work with experienced plein air artists.
