MOUNT BLANCHARD — Two county residents suffered serious injuries in a single-car crash on Hancock County 17, south of Mount Blanchard, Friday night, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to the sheriff’s office, Michael T. Nagy, 19, of rural Findlay, was driving a 1988 Ford Mustang north on Hancock County 17 near Hancock County 153 at 10:44 p.m. when he lost control of the car, which went off the east side of the roadway and struck a concrete post.

Nagy and a passenger in his car, Cory Burnett, 27, of rural Findlay, were both taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries, the sheriff’s office reported.

Nagy was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control, according to the sheriff’s office.
