ARLINGTON — The Arlington school board is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the board beginning Jan. 1, 2020.

Those interested in serving on the board should submit a letter of interest (no more than one page) and a resume to Superintendent Kevin Haught by Thursday, Nov. 14. Letters and resumes may be emailed to, mailed to 336 S. Main St., Arlington, 45814, or dropped off to Stacie Pore in the school office.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.

The school board will review letters and resumes in executive session at its Nov. 18 meeting. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview with the board between Nov. 20 and Dec. 31. The board will vote on the selected candidate at its Jan. 13, 2020 organizational meeting.

The newly-appointed member will serve a two-year term, after which, if the appointed member desires to continue serving, he or she must run in the next general election.
